‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers find that fans have so much to celebrate this March as, not only has their favorite soap been renewed for two more years, but the 35th anniversary episode of the CBS sudser will be airing later in the month…with some special guests appearing to boot.
Upon the renewal announcement, showrunner Bradley Bell thanked CBS and “our millions of fans around the globe for their loyalty and support.”
“35 years ago, I would have never imagined what was in store,” he continued, paying homage to his parents, William J. and Lee Phillip Bell, the creators of the daytime serial. “Since our premiere in 1987, it’s been a fantastic journey and incredible experience for all of us.”
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Renewed Just in Time For Its 35th Anniversary Celebrations
However, before we look forward to the 2023-24 broadcast season of the most fashionable soap on daytime, audiences are invited to look back at the 35 years gone by.
And what a 35 years it has been!
8,734 episodes, 393,750 pages of dialogue, 100 weddings (some more dramatic than others) 23 onscreen births and 100 Daytime Emmys later, only two actors have made it from start to finish, John McCook who portrays Eric Forrester and Katherine Kelly Lang who plays the oft tear soaked Brooke Logan.
It is an ode to Ms. Logan, or more specifically, her storied love life, that audiences will be rapt by during the special 35th anniversary episode as five of her leading men, past and present, will make appearances.
Fans will expect to see Brooke’s estranged husband Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and ex-husbands Eric and Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). However it is two faces from the past that will be back in Los Angeles to delight diehard fans: Nick Marone (Jack Wagner) and Thorne Forrester (Winsor Harmon)!
While we don’t know why or how Nick and Thorne will return, we do know the men were on set, presumably to film new scenes, not just appear in flashbacks!
The 35th anniversary episode airs on Thursday, March 24 and regular episodes air weekdays on CBS!
