‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers finds that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is about to ask Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) to marry him. This may put a damper on the plans of one Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) or it may not, it’ll depend on how Liam goes about it. Now, for the most part, Liam has been playing this pretty wisely. He’s been backing off, trusting Hope, letting her make her own decisions when it comes to the whole working with Thomas thing at Forrester Creations for the Fashion Showdown, that was a smart, supportive move on his part. But let’s face it, Liam is only human and there is something about the way that things simply fall into Thomas’s lap that is kind of intimidating, even for the most well-adjusted person.
So when Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) wanted to come back to work at Forrester, he got Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to rehired her in the hopes that Zoe could help them both take down Thomas. For Steffy, it would simply mean keeping an eye on her brother and maybe even ratting him out to her Dad. For Liam, it would mean leverage against him if he ever tried to come for Hope again, Liam would have the inside edge and could anticipate his moves before he could make them.

But Thomas remained two steps ahead and killed his ace in the hole by getting Zoe on his side. He started a relationship with her and ‘moved on’ from Hope so fast that it made everyone’s head spin. Especially Zoe’s, he made love to her the first night! How is that for proof? Now we all know that it’s just an act because Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) was the one that Thomas admitted as much to. However, Liam is about to pull the stupidest move he’s ever pulled.

He’s about to propose, but that isn’t the stupid move. Hope is obssessed with getting Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) away from Thomas and out of a supposed ‘toxic environment’ which is pretty admirable considering the example that Thomas has set for Douglas so far. Hope has made it a point that she wants to be in this kid’s life, hands down. However when Liam proposes, he’s going to pull one major upset move that’s goint to cost him the love of his life.
He’s going to tell Hope that in order for them to be together, she has to choose between her life with him and Beth and her desire to be a co-parent to Douglas. Hope is at that stage in Motherhood where she has really, really latched onto little Douglas and he’s at the stage where he’s really, really attached to his Mom. Hope may eventually have what it takes to stand up to Thomas Forrester, and definitely has what it takes to say no to Liam (look at last year), but she does not have it in her to break the heart of little Douglas Forrester.
So Liam, my friend, you’ve lost the game. What Liam needs to do is step back and realize what he’s actually asking. Hope has gone the loing round fighting for this kid and she’s not about to stop now. If Liam thinks that he’s enough then he is dead wrong and obviously doesn’t know how the Mother-child bond works, but since Hope’s bond with baby Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) doesn’t seem to be quite as strong, maybe he’s unfamiliar.
Either way, he’s about to make a fatal mistake and that’s when Thomas can just sit back and twirl his mustache because he’s already won the game. That will be the one thing that lands Hope in Thomas’s court, it won’t be because she loves him or even remotely likes Thomas, it’ll be because of Douglas. It looks like Liam may be the one who ends up co-parenting with Hope. But that’s just my take on it. Stay tuned!!!
