‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoiler: Difficult to Face
Eric Forrester hasn’t felt very content recently. He feels like he is being replaced at Forrester Creations, the company he built. His son Ridge has taken over and there isn’t much for Eric to do.
Eric is feeling dismissed and pushed out. People come and go from his office as if it doesn’t even belong to him. He isn’t being consulted on things as much as he used to be and he’s not feeling relevant.
This discontent is being compounded by his physical ailment. Eric is experiencing tremors in his hands, and it only seems to be getting worse. He can’t draw and design like he used to and that just makes him feel even more useless.
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoiler: One More Line
Eric enlists the help of his grandson, RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman). He asks RJ to draw for him. Eric will have the vision for the designs and RJ will put them to paper.
It is Eric’s belief that this is his last line and he wants to go all out. Ridge offers to work with him because designing one line together would make good financial sense. Eric doesn’t want to hear it. He is going to do this completely solo and would even like to challenge Ridge’s designs on the runway.
Ridge feels upset and confused about this. His father isn’t making choices that demonstrate good business sense. But, Eric does really feel like this is his last chance in fashion. This will be his final curtain call.
The doctor arrives to talk to Eric and is going to deliver some news. What medical issue is Eric really dealing with? The tremors are increasing so much that Eric can’t even sign papers. Is this something like Parkinsons disease or ALS? How will Eric cope with serious news? What do you think?
