Katie Thurston has shockingly revealed that she almost left the current season of The Bachelorette.

The star has been making waves during the initial glimpse that the audience has seen of her. And yet, for all the enthusiasm coming her way, she almost decided to hang up her boots. But through those crunch moments, she doubled down on her beliefs and pushed through the struggles.
This was, in part, due to the valuable contribution given by Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe, who were able to offer some relatable advice. During an interview with Us Weekly, Katie said: “I was at my lowest and really wanted to leave. And if it wasn’t for the amazing women who have been Bachelorettes before helping me navigate that, I probably would have.
“I’m so thankful for all of them.” It is not clear exactly what made Katie feel this way, but there is no harm in trying to establish what it could be. Katie is in a unique position, given that she is the first female lead post Chris Harrison’s departure. His absence has been noticeable, with the wider crew already having explained the differences they have noticed since he has gone.
And with the franchise facing uncertainty about its long-term future, the pressure has increased on Katie to deliver the goods. In the trailer for an upcoming episode, we can see that Katie has had enough. She is heard saying: “[I’m] done. Someone book my flight home.” But after deciding to stick it out, she came across other problems.
The Bachelor franchise is heavily influenced by the role of the producers, and this is something that Katie went on to discover first hand. This began to have an impact on how she interacted with the men, knowing that there was such a huge presence in the background looking on.
She stated: “I thought, maybe, there’d be people helping with dates, you know, here and there, but I certainly did not expect to have both of them [hosts] there with me the entire time. And so I think I was just, like, so overwhelmed.” There are plenty more twists to come, and fans will be dying to tune in.
