Former star of ‘The Bachelorette’ Emily Maynard has confirmed that she secretly welcomed her sixth child in August of this year.

The star welcomed her son, Jones, as she admitted that it was a very difficult pregnancy. It turns out that Jones has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome. This condition occurs when a person is born with an extra chromosome that can result in physical alterations such as small hands and feet.
And as part of that process, Jones had to spend the first few weeks of his birth in intensive care. But for all the struggles that Jones had to go through, Emily was just happy to have her son home in the way that he arrived.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, Emily shared a picture of herself with her husband Tyler Johnson and their six children. They have massive smiles on their faces and could not be any happier.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “Tyler and I welcomed our sweet son, Jones West Johnson, into the world. During my surgery we learned that he was born with Down Syndrome, and while it was certainly a surprise, we have so much peace in God’s perfect plan.”
The fans on social media were full of praise for Emily. This was on the basis that she had shown she loved her child unconditionally, as it could have been easy for her to have become overwhelmed by the fact her son had been diagnosed with Down syndrome.
One person wrote: “And what a beautiful boy and family. I’ve heard over and over what a blessing children born with Down Syndrome are to families and I’m sure he will be the sweetest cherry on top of your gorgeous family. Congrats my friend.”
