Victoria Larson has opened up on the experiences she had gone through during her time on The Bachelor.

The star had made huge headlines during her stint, but for all the wrong reasons. She was accused of intimidating others, which led to an early exit. In an interview on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Victoria revealed how she did not see her departure coming. She said: “I thought I was going to make it further than I did. [I thought I was] going to go further [than] some girls.”

But it was not the only thing that had perplexed Victoria. She could not fathom why she was being targeted and given the label of a ‘bully.’ The show has, for its part, been accused of dramatizing and scripting certain scenes to exaggerate conflict for entertainment purposes. That is why Victoria denied being nasty on the show.

She added: “[It was] so bizarre, but like, it started from night one. Cause even when I told that girl, ‘Oh, go talk to Matt.’ People were like, ‘She’s mean for that.’ I’m like, that wasn’t mean. It was a buildup of things that weren’t mean … I was just categorized as such, I don’t know.” It is important to note that the so-called cancel culture has blighted the career of many stars.

2021 is a perfect example, as various high-profile stars have been bashed for any errors, and it has even cost them their jobs: Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Chris Harrison are just some of the names that come to mind. But for Victoria, she continued being herself. She revealed: “I feel like a lot of the girls going on were careful about what they said, or they wanted to present themselves well.

“And, like, I just wanted to have fun. … Like, it’s a show. I wasn’t taking it seriously.” Although she did not manage to win Matt James over, Victoria is not complaining. Nevertheless, she was shocked over Matt’s decision to choose Rachael Kirkconnell. She noted: “I’m like, ‘OK, not surprised Rachael won because they did have a strong connection, but I really thought Bri [Springs] was going to.”
