‘The Bachelor’ spoilers tell us that Bryan Abasolo has blasted Chris Harrison following his interview with his wife Rachel Lindsay amid the Rachael Kirkconnell scandal.

When speaking to his fans on his Talking it Out podcast, he said how lost his respect for Chris: “I was very disappointed. Chris Harrison is someone that I respected highly, and I’m not gonna lie, I definitely lost respect for him after watching that interview. What he said was irresponsible. It was hurtful. It was just flat-out unacceptable.
“Now, we’re not talking about past contestants of the show, who pretty much come and go, right? We’re talking about the face of this franchise — 20 plus years of this man being on our television screens on a show that’s been needing a diversity makeover for years.” And Bryan may have been particularly offended given that his wife Rachel revealed that Chris was initially ok with his comments.
She told her fans on her Higher Learning podcast: “He [Chris] had no problems with it. He was fine. He texted me after; he appreciated the conversation. He was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll probably get a little flack, but I thought it was great that we could disagree, but do it in a civil way.” But enough damage has already been done as Chris confirmed he would walk away from the show after having presented it for over 15 years.
In his statement, he said: “The historic season of The Bachelor should not be marred or overshadowed by my mistakes or diminished by my actions. To that end, I have consulted with Warner Bros. and ABC and will be stepping aside for a period of time and will not join for the After the Final Rose special. I am dedicated to getting educated on a more profound and productive level than ever before.”
He also told his fans: “My ignorance did damage to my friends, my colleagues and strangers alike. I have no one to blame but myself for what I said and the way I spoke. I set standards for myself, and I have not met them. I feel that with every fibre of my being.” Who knows how long this backlash will continue?
