Rachael Kirkconnell is unsure whether she is ready to take her relationship with Matt James to the next stage by moving to New York in order to live with him.

‘The Bachelor’: Rachael Kirkconnell Is Not Sure Whether She Should Move In With Matt James

The pair recently decided to give their relationship another go after their high profile split. While they have decided to make a serious go of things, Rachael still remains hesitant in moving in to live with Matt. A source said: “Rachael wouldn’t just be moving to NYC to be with Matt. She would be moving to be close to her friends.”

So what is stopping Rachael from taking the next step? Well, it is understandable for the following reasons. First of all, during the course of her social media controversy, Rachael was thrown under the bus by everyone except her family. And given that her family do not reside in New York, she would be without the valuable support network that helped her recover from the criticism.

The source added: “Georgia is home to her, that’s where her family lives, so she’ll be spending time going back and forth.” And yet, Rachael’s uncertainty seems strange in light of the approach she had taken with Matt. The latter had recently confirmed that Rachael had given him an ultimatum about whether he really wanted to commit with her.

And given that he did, as per his own revelations in addition to their reconciliation, it does beg the question of why Rachael will not go full steam ahead too. During a previous interview on the ‘Pomp’ podcast, Matt stated: “She was like, ‘If you’re going to make this work, let’s do it. But, if you’re not going to make it work, I’m going to let you do your own thing.”

It will be fascinating to see where the couple go from here. There are still a lot of hurdles they need to clear, the main one being how they will react in the face of controversy. It is not enough that Matt and Rachael should simply get together. They need to reach out to Chris Harrison and Rachael Lindsay, who were both inadvertently caught in the crossfire following Rachel’s scandal.
