Matt James has publicly revealed that he has set his sights on working things out with Rachael Kirkconnell.

The couple decided to part ways after Matt had been seeing a woman named Grace, despite reportedly considering a reconciliation with Rachael. Ironically, as they have one major mistake on each other, the guilt from their actions has brought them closer together. In an interview with People magazine, Matt spoke on how Rachael is his main focus for now.
He said: “I’m not pursuing any relationships right now outside of that. I said I was going to focus on my relationship with her, and that means focusing on it.” And the noise coming out of Rachael’s camp has been similar too. She is keen on giving Matt another chance, as she was ultimately responsible for the first blunder. Her social media posts had clouded, what seemed to have been a potential long-term relationship.
But now she has a chance to put her mistakes behind her. If Matt can forgive her, then her mistakes will become a distant memory. Sources confirmed as much: “Rachael wanted to hear him out, and since then, they’ve had a chance to talk about it and work it out. Her feelings hadn’t gone away overnight. She’s giving him another chance.”
So what are the prospects of the duo really getting back together? The fact that they continue to stay in touch shows there are still some clear feelings there. It is not as simple as that, though. The couple can expect to face severe backlash for several reasons. First, Matt was very vocal about how Rachael needed to go away and reflect upon her comments that had exacerbated racism.
For all the enthusiasm in the world, this cannot be done in a matter of months. And who is to say that Rachael will not continue to make such mistakes. Would Matt act in a similar vein? This may explain why the pair have fallen short of calling themselves a couple. The source added: “They aren’t a couple again. They are just working through things.
“Only the two of them know the whole story.
