The 46th Daytime Emmy Awards Are Upon Us Sunday, May 5, Here's What You Need To Know

With the Daytime Emmys airing on Sunday, we are all very curious who the presenters will be. They were recently announced and we couldn’t be more excited! This will be the 46th year of the Daytime Emmys.

The 46th Daytime Emmy Awards Are Upon Us Sunday, May 5, Here’s What You Need To Know

The Daytime Emmys is proud to have Mario Lopez and Sheryl Underwood hosting. Every soap will see stars presenting their favorite awards. From Days of Our Lives, we will see Camila Banus, Kate Mansi, Marci Miller, and Billy Flynn. The Bold and the Beautiful stars presenting are Darin Brooks and Don Diamont. Steve Burton and Ingo Rademacher from General Hospital will be there, as well as Daniel Goddard and Melissa Ordway from the Young and the Restless.

With all of these amazing stars on the show, where can we watch the Daytime Emmys? The Daytime Emmys used to be on primetime television, but are no longer. With the ratings falling and networks competing from primetime spots, this is one show that got pushed aside. You can watch it on many online outlets. There are streaming networks that are airing it and you can pick those up on Apple TV, Roku, iOS, and Android devices. You can also watch it on the Emmy YouTube page or on their website emmyonline.tv. Their Facebook page will also be broadcasting the awards show.

The first Daytime Emmys aired in 1974. There was a lot of drama surrounding the show because of the ratings and because of how networks wanted to air shows at primetime that would get better ratings. This is one of the reasons that it is now solely online. No matter where we watch it, we are very excited about Sunday night and we hope to see some of our favorites get the awards that they deserve.

So what about the contenders this year? Who do you think will win the big awards? For Best Younger Actress, Haley Erin, Olivia Rose Keegan, Eden McCoy, and Chloe Lanier are nominated. Chloe Lanier won this award last year and we are excited to see if she does it again. Who will win the award for Best Drama Series? Will it be your favorite soap? There is a lot more to the Daytime Emmys than just soaps, so we will see many daytime talk shows get awarded as well. No matter who wins, we are very excited on what the night holds for the stars and for us!

The countdown has started! Just ONE WEEK until the #DaytimeEmmys! Tune in LIVE here on Twitter at 8p ET / 5p PT on Sunday, May 5. pic.twitter.com/AkpLXyqfFL
