At first, he seemed to have good intentions. Mariana Ortega (Johanna Fadul) called with an emergency. Well, more like she called to put her slimy boyfriend, Wilson (José Restrepo), on the phone. He told Jorge that he either had to get a ton of money to him, or Mariana would pay the price. Jorge handled the situation fairly well, talking Wilson down from being too hasty with things. Mariana’s sister is, after all, a police officer. And there’s only so much he can get so fast, so Wilson would be better served taking what he can get as he can get it. It worked.

Operación Pacífico spoilers indicate that a drop-off took place and Mariana was left safe in her apartment. But apparently, someone couldn’t control himself. When he arrived at the apartment and checked on her, the pair ended up with her half-dressed and in a majorly compromising position. As the Telenovela Gods would have it, Amalia just happened to arrive in time to see this. Making matters worse, this came shortly after they had a big fight over her wanting a divorce due to his prepago habit. But, it gets worse.

Amalia was so shaken by what she saw, she turned to Helena (Katherine Vélez), her therapist. She called and begged for a session immediately. Unfortunately, Amalia never arrived for that appointment. It was close. She was at the building, but the bad guys intercepted her and took her back to where she’d been playing a waitress during an undercover op. When Jorge finds out about this, he might just feel a ton of guilt. After all, he was the one who pushed her to run after finding him with her sister. Will this make him change? We’re not so sure.

It’s basically a given Amalia survives her kidnapping. Operación Pacífico spoilers indicate you can’t have a show without its star. We think her experience will make Amalia more guarded and will push her further away from Jorge. It’s also a good possibility that she’ll leave the kids in his care for the most part. Whatever she thinks of him as a husband, it’s obvious he’s a good father to the kids, and she will likely want to protect them more after her kidnapping. We also seriously doubt Amalia will forgive Mariana any time soon.
