See, Loli can’t seem to do anything right. She was at work while abuela looked after the kids. However, they apparently didn’t get fed enough, because Nicolás “Nicky” Torres (Diego Escalona) was starving.
So, she gave him a piece of cold pizza and he ended up getting sick. Then, the kids tried to make her breakfast in the morning and nearly burned the kitchen down.
This was obviously the perfect time for a social worker to arrive to check out the kids’ living conditions. And Loli ended up putting her foot in her mouth, while Nicky let slip he got sick last night after eating pizza late. If she doesn’t end up having to move heaven and earth to keep those kids, it will be a miracle. But, wait! There’s more.

As if Loli didn’t have enough problems, Nicky is about to make it worse. He’s obviously still hurting from his loss, as well as the drama over custody and all the upheaval. Not to mention, guilt over saying the wrong thing in front of the social worker.
So, he’ll be desperate to have things back to normal and will sneak out to look for his mother. Obviously, the poor kid’s deluding himself that she can be found and live with them again. We feel for him already.
