Besides that, she shared she’s terrified Don Mateo could harm her and her brother. So, Diego promised that he will find a way to get them out of there so the three of them are together again. In the meantime, he needs her to hang in there and watch over Ricas.
From the way she slipped in to watch over Ricas in his room and her apology, it looks like this girl grew up fact. We’re glad to see that, as it was about time. Of course, Lupe’s convinced this help will lead to their doom but he doesn’t care.
Later on, it looks like Diego is desperate, but not that desperate—for now. He decided to meet with Plácido Arismendi (Otto Sirgo) when asked.
He wanted Diego to help take down his enemy, but Diego isn’t ready to team up with someone like him. At least, not yet. He wants to keep doing his thing for now. If his methods don’t work, then he’ll seek Plácido out.

As for Ricas’ return, Don Mateo had to deal with a disappointment. He’d planned for Amanda to be there to greet her brother. After learning the truth, she was so upset, she pretended to be sick and sleeping.
Now, she’s secretly plotting to align with Diego while sneaking in her brother’s room. But there’s more.
Ramona Flores (Azela Robinson) is really putting the pressure on him. After learning of Amanda’s supposed illness, she started on him about Fernanda again. She wants nothing to do with him if he doesn’t serve her head up along with his enemies’.
So, we do feel it won’t take much longer before Ramona reaches her breaking point and betrays him. But it definitely wasn’t what he wanted to deal with on such a great day for him.

Finally, Fernanda is busy hiding out from Don Mateo as well as waiting for Ignacio Salas (Álvaro Guerrero) to give his statement for the police. This can help lock up Don Mateo and save the kids.
But she made time for a little motherly advice. She sees what’s going on and she made it clear that Victoria Lamas’ (Dulce María) interest in his case is far more than professional—or friendly.
She thought it best to bring that up, so we assume he’ll be forced to make a choice sooner rather than later. We think he’ll obviously choose to start up something with Victoria, and Ricas showed he sees it as well in a previous episode. He approves.

What’s next? Falsa identidad spoilers indicate Don Mateo’s men surprise Diego and surround him and Plácido. This is part of the strategy Don Mateo put together to get rid of all his enemies.
