Jenelle Evans, who you may know from the show Teen Mom 2, has revealed that she has full custody over her son Jace by assuming responsibility from none other than her mother, Barbara Evans.

When speaking on Instagram to her fans, she revealed the journey that led to this moment: “This is a little PDA announcement. “You are probably watching Teen Mom on Netflix right now as we speak and if you are, good. That was the old me. That was the young me, the stupid me, the me that took risks.”
“Now let’s not sit here ten years later and come to my page and hate on me for my mistakes that I learned from,” she continued. “Let’s not get caught up on the $200 you let me use to bail me out of jail. Let’s not get caught up on the dumbass men that I dated.”
“I have custody of Jace. He lives with me now full-time. “My kids are happy; they’re healthy. That’s all that f—king matters. But I totally get it. I would hate me too if I was watching me. But if you catch up with me now, I’m doing a lot better, you guys. Peace, love, happiness, bitches.”
The star is no stranger to controversy in this area given by her previous actions. Jenelle and her husband, David Eason both lost custody of the other children they looked after Ensley, Kaiser and Maryssa. This occurred due to David’s shooting the family’s dog, Nugget, in response to claiming it bit Ensley.
And although they both regained custody of their child, Jenelle shortly split up with David in what ended up as an acrimonious split. She claimed that David was violent and that she even had to get a restraining order against him.
However, she backtracked the comments and even dated him again before splitting as David was arrested for assault following a purported frenzy with two of Jenelle’s friends. When addressing the violence, she told her fans:
“I want to tell you guys that David has never abused the children, he’s never abused me “We’ve always had disagreements and those would turn into big arguments, and this is the reason why I decided to go back home and work out my relationship because ultimately it’s for my family.”
