Taylor Swift has praised her lover, Joe Alwyn, after picking up the album of the year at the Grammys.

In her acceptance speech, Taylor let everyone know how Joe was the muse behind her award-winning album. She said: “Joe, who is the first person that I play every single song that I write. And I had the best time writing songs with you in quarantine. I want to thank James, Ines, and Betty, who are the second and third people that I play every new song that I write.”
And it seems the two have really gotten close together, with the music playing a significant part. Although Joe is an actor by trade, his creative expression is clearly rubbing off on Taylor. The two art forms do go together hand in hand, which is why many singers have crossed over to the acting world: Harry Styles and Jamie Foxx, to name a few.
In a previous interview with Apple Music, Taylor said: “Joe and I really love sad songs. We’ve always bonded over music. We write the saddest [songs]. We just really love sad songs. What can I say? It was a surprise that we started writing together.” But Taylor also had some other people to dedicate this award too. After all, who could forget the fans? They had just suffered the ordeal of Taylor announcing that her tour had been cancelled due to the pandemic.
In a statement at the time, she said: “I love coming on here to tell you good news or to share a new project with you. It’s not my favourite thing in the world to have to tell you news I’m sad about. I’m so sorry, but I cannot reschedule the shows that we’ve postponed.” So by winning this award, Taylor can give back to those who put her on the map.
She stated: “But mostly we just want to thank the fans, you guys met us in this imaginary world that we created, and we can’t tell you how honoured we are forever by this. Thank you so much.” It is good to see Taylor having such success in her personal and musical life.
