Tan France and Rob France have declared their happiness at the prospects of becoming parents for the first time.

The duo will receive their newborn via a surrogate, as long as everything goes well with the birth. In a post to his fans on Instagram, Tan posted a picture of himself holding a scan of the baby. The post was captioned by the following comments: “So happy to finally share that WE’RE HAVING A BABY!! No, I’m not pregnant, despite this VERY realistic pic.
“With the greatest gift/help of the most wonderful surrogate, Rob and I are lucky enough to be on our way to being parents this Summer.” The news would complete their long-life dream of having a family. The duo got together in 2018, and by all accounts, their relationship has been going on strong ever since. They are seeking to follow in the mould of other stars who have advocated same-sex parenting.
The most prominent of those has been Elton John. And with that, Tan added: “[We wanted a family] for soooo many years. Our hearts are so full right now. I cannot wait to hold this baby and to show him so much, love.” So what was the reaction from the public? Well, as was expected, there were many congratulatory messages going around. Several colleagues and friends were ecstatic at the news.
Karamo Brown, who happens to work as a co-presenter with Tan, wrote: “Yay!!!!!!! Uncle Momo is going to spoil this baby!!!!,” while Antoni Porowski stated: “So so happy for you guys.” Tan has made no secret of his desire to have children. He was very open about how his comfortable lifestyle and wealth have given him opportunities that he would not have otherwise had.
During a previous interview with The Associated Press, he said: “I feel privileged to be in a position where I get to talk about what I want to do. And if I want to have children, I want to talk about it, and nobody can say it’s wrong and get away with it. [Surrogacy is] a legal option that is available to us, and I will use that.”
