Survivor 42 spoilers find that the final 3 weeks will undoubtedly be exciting with any of the remaining 6players truly able to walk away with the title of Sole Survivor. Well, except Romeo Escobar. Honestly, Romeo is best to just get thee to Ponderosa and get a burger into him.
A win for Maryanne Oketch would be a bit of a climb, but then, four weeks out last season, it was hard to imagine Erika Casupanan taking the cake during Survivor 41.
Maryanne does have her second idol and is (thus far) cleverly keeping it hidden. If Omar Zaheer doesn’t do his voodoo on her, she can keep the idol hidden and her ear to the ground, she may be able to save herself and work her way into the final three. From there, a win would be a long shot- it depends on who sits beside her.
‘Survivor 42’ Spoilers: Which Of The Remaining Castaways Will Win The Game?
Johnathan Young is looking less and less like the game’s first challenge beast winner (unless you count Colby Donaldson?) now that Lindsay Dolashewich has turned on him and the self-painted (thanks hanger) target on his back is only getting bigger and bolder. It’s still a possibility if he can continue to dominate in challenges, but we all know a major mental game will be coming up and Johnathan is the first to say that’s just not his jam.
SIDENOTE: am I the only one who wants to see a Survivor: Return of the Challenge Beasts season, with the likes of Johnathan, Lindsay, Joe Anglim, Ozzy Lusth, Terry Deitz, Laura Morett et al returning to flail during the outwit (perhaps- no shade to any of those players) and clashing during the outplay?
Mike Turner has good a chance of making the final three of Survivor 42, if he can get off his Hai horse (you see what I did there?) and pull his head in. No doubt Drea made his chances slimmer (inadvertently? I’m not sure what her gameplay was, saying he was the odds-on winner as she mic dropped her way off the island), but there’s still a shot.
Lindsay seems to be a shoo-in for the final three- she has the challenge skills without being overtly dominating and the social + strategy game to back herself up. She may be gunning for Johnathan, but she might want to rethink her options. Goliath could be her “challenge shield” if she keeps him around just a little longer.
Lindsay also has her shiny new hardware, her 3-way amulet now a hidden immunity idol after back-to-back eliminations of the other two holders.
But, like almost everyone else, my money’s on Omar to win Survivor 42. His game, thus far, is flawless (if you don’t count his diving skills). His chaos is sublime, his lies smooth, his humility is disarming and his outstanding emu shirt needs to be auctioned off at the end of all this.
Let us know in the comments below if you agree with this assessment, or who you think has the best shot of winning this season. Of course, continue to watch Survivor, Wednesdays on CBS at 8pm ET.
