TLC ’90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days’ Spoilers finds that youtuber Stephanie Matto finally came out to her Mom, Magda Ballaro. Us viewers have been waiting for weeks, or actually for months, since this season started, for Steph to finally admit to her Mom that she was bisexual. Her girlfriend Erika Owens even gave her a great example of how to come out to your parents first, but when given the opportunity herself, Stephanie chickened out.

Honestly, I think Magda was as surprised as the rest of her OG youtube stans when we found out she was bisexual. Magda simply shook her head in disbelief and told her that she thought she was simply confused because a lot of her past relationships had been, according to Magda, toxic. However Stephanie, instead of caving as I honestly thought she might, doubled down. She told her Mother that she was not confused and that this was not the first time that she had had feelings for a woman. Again, that comes as a surprise to the majority of her longtime fans because we have not witnessed this. If you’ve been a subscriber to her youtube channel for any amount of time, then you know that Stephanie, at least on camera has talked about dating exclusively men unless something in the past year changed.
Magda went on to say that it was “not her preference” because she had always imagined Stephanie having a traditional wedding somewhere in the Czech Republic. Honestly, I thought things were about to go south here. I thought that Magda was going to either break down crying, or say something really upsetting to make Stephanie cry, but when Stephanie asked her if she would still want to know if she were in a relationship with a woman, Magda swallowed whatever distaste she may have had for the situation and said “Of course.” to which, I think we all sort of breathed a sigh of relief. DId Stephanie do Erika wrong? Yes, totally. Did she deserve to hae a bad coming out experience to her Mom? No, she didn’t. No one deserves that just for living their truth. Although it’s really sad that she couldn’t have done this earlier and actually given her relationship with Erika a chance at lasting. I guess we’ll hear all about that tea on the tell-all, won’t we?
