Prince Harry, who is 38 years old, was candid recently when he discussed his recreational consumption of psychedelics.

During a virtual discussion with trauma specialist Gabor Maté, the Duke of Sussex expressed that drugs have assisted him in coming to terms with the mental scars he has suffered in his life. After all, he had to cope with the tragic death of his mother, Princess Diana, at a very young age.
And as part of that process, the Duke had to walk behind his mother’s coffin alongside his brother, Prince William. With that being said, this is what Harry had to say: “I started doing it recreationally and then started to realize how good it was for me.
“I would say it is one of the fundamental parts of my life that changed me and helped me deal with the traumas and the pains of the past.” Harry also acknowledged in his newly published book “Spare” that he used drugs like cocaine and cannabis in his youth.
Harry mentioned experimenting with magic mushrooms at a gathering held in Courtney Cox’s residence. Cox showed up unexpectedly and invited a group of people to meet up, which was when Harry noticed a box of mushroom chocolates.
In his comments at the time, Harry remarked: “My mate and I grabbed several, gobbled them, washed them down with tequila. I stepped on the pedal and the head opened its mouth. A huge open grin. I laughed.”
The social media response was one of outrage. Large numbers of people bashed the Duke for promoting such things. One person wrote: “Who is your dealer, Harry? Do you drive drugged? Are you drugged around your children? Why are you proud of being so weak?”
