According to a prior pal of Meghan Markle, she and her husband Prince Harry didn’t appreciate the power they held in the entertainment industry while they were still part of the Royal Family.
Harry And Meghan Miscalculated Their Value-‘Royalty Isn’t Somebody With A Title,’ Says Nick Aide
That is according to Nick Ede. He claims that he requested Meghan to preside over the London Global Gift Gala at the ME Hotel on Tuesday, 19th November 2013, and maintains that they stayed acquaintances for a few years following.
Nick revealed that he and Meghan had lost contact after she became acquainted with Harry and he believes that they may not have anticipated the level of influence and fame they would acquire.
In his comments, he said: “I think the thing is that you forget that in Hollywood royalty isn’t somebody with a title. It’s J.Lo, it’s Sharon Stone, it’s Beyonce, it’s the Kardashians. That’s their royalty…I think they have underestimated that in many ways.”
Meghan and Harry presently reside in Montecito, which is home to famous personalities such as Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry, and Adele. Since their relocation to America, they have tried to avoid the public as much as possible.
While that may have been the case, it appears that they are trying to cross over into the celebrity world. They were recently seen attending Ellen DeGeneres’ wedding vow renewals. Not only that, but reports suggest that they are going to work with Hollywood PR man Adam Lilling in order to expand their brand.Â
The social media response was very clear. Large numbers of people were of the view that the couple were no longer relevant any longer. As such, the comments were brutal indeed. One person wrote: “She over-estimated their importance on the world stage for who they really are. You reap what you sow.”
