People on social media have criticised Prince Harry for transforming the Royal Family into something akin to the Kardashian family, due to his recent chat with ITV’s Tom Bradby.
Social Media Accuses Prince Harry Of Being A Kardashian-‘This Is Cringe, Hypocritical, Delusional, Self-Serving, Narcissistic Ramblings’
The 38-year-old Duke of Sussex had the encounter as part of his promotional efforts for his new book Spare. Harry asserted that the Royal Family had attempted to guard their own name at the expense of him and Meghan Markle, and they had been implicated in the anguish and distress they experienced.
In the interview which lasted for 90 minutes, Harry stated that members of the senior Royal Family had damaged his and Meghan’s public image, leading to their relocation to California. However, while he mentioned that he did not think his family was prejudiced, just that they had an ‘unconscious bias’.
And yet, those comments did not go down well on social media. This was on the basis that Harry’s public admissions were turning the firm into something that was being exploited for publicity. As such, the comments towards him were very brutal indeed.
One person wrote: “Harry literally turning the British Monarchy into an episode of The Kardashian’s. This is cringe,” while another person stated: “I’ve never heard such hypocritical, delusional, self-serving, narcissistic ramblings in my life.
“He’s actually said that he ‘hopes’ his family can respect HIS privacy whilst talking incessantly about THEM to the worlds press! KNOWING they cannot respond.” Ultimately, Harry is being given an opportunity to put his truth out there.
And given that it is something that he vowed to do, he will have to live with the consequences of his actions. But whether his memoir, Spare, leads to a reconciliation with the family is anyone’s guess. But based on what we have seen so far, the response would suggest that it is unlikely to happen.
