Singer Jason Aldean‘s Wife Brittany Bashed Over Alleged Transphobic Remarks-‘Scumbag Human’
This controversy started when Brittany went on social media to praise her parents for allowing her to grow up and not change her gender despite her going through a period of introspection in her life.
And as part of that process, she was delighted that she was able to remain the way that she was. In a post to her fans on Instagram, Brittany shared a video clip of herself putting some make-up on. In the background, we can hear Beyonce’s “Upgrade U” song as Brittany applies come blusher.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life.”
This immediately generated a lot of backlash from two other stars in the music industry: Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris. They could not understand why artists did not try to be more inclusive towards the LGBTQ+ community, as that would increase their fanbase.
Not only that, but the comments also began to get quite personal indeed. In response, Cassadee wrote: “Hearing someone compare their “tomboy phase” to someone wanting to transition. Real nice,” while Maren remarked: “It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human?
“Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.” One person who was glad with Brittany’s comments was none other than Jason. But rather than go into the specifics of whether she should have phrased her words in a particular way, he wanted to let everyone know that he was grateful for having Brittany in his life.
