According to reports, Sharon Stone recently disclosed that a judge had raised concerns about her parenting skills due to her acting in the sexually explicit movie Basic Instinct.
Sharon Stone Alleges That She Lost A Custody Battle Over Her Son Due To Her Basic Instinct Nude Scenes
The renowned Hollywood star gained popularity after her appearance in the well-known movie of 1992. In the movie, she portrayed a writer of crime novels who becomes a suspect in the savage killing of a rockstar. Meanwhile, she develops a deep sexual relationship with the detective, Michael Douglas, who is investigating the case.
Although the movie has many notable scenes, the most well-known one is when Sharon’s character is being questioned and she uncrosses her legs to show that she is not wearing any undergarments. Sharon later became a mother to her son, Roan, whom she adopted with her former spouse Phil Bronstein.
As a result of fertility difficulties, Sharon experienced three miscarriages before Roan’s adoption in 2000. After three years of being married, the woman’s marriage ended and she engaged in a legal dispute with her ex-husband over custody of their child.
Unfortunately, she lost the case and looking back on that period of her life, she reveals that it was a devastating experience for her. The 64-year-old actress claims that the release of her movie, Basic Instinct, was used against her in court during the legal proceedings.
However, she was unable to speak publicly about the case due to a non-disclosure agreement and to protect the privacy of her child. With that being said, this is what she had to say: “I lost custody of my child.
“When the judge asked my child, my tiny, little, tiny boy, ‘Do you know your mother makes sex movies? It was considered that’s what kind of parent I was because I made that movie…You saw maybe a sixteenth of a second of possible nudity of me and I lost custody of my child.”
