For the sake of her mother, Shannen Doherty is selling her worldly belongings in preparation for death, even though she is adamant that science can help her combat cancer.
This discovery was revealed by the “Beverly Hills, 90210” actress on Monday’s edition of her podcast, “Let’s Be Clear.” She talked about how she realized her personal belongings were a burden to her loved ones and cleaned out her storage unit.
In Doherty’s words, she is putting her mother Rosa’s needs first at this time, trying to leave her with as little as possible in the case that she loses her battle with stage 4 cancer.
Doherty explained that, “Because it’s going to be so hard on her, I want other things to be a lot easier. I don’t want her to have a bunch of stuff to deal with. I don’t want her to have four storage units filled with furniture.”

In order to raise money for a trip with her mother, Shannen intends to sell the things in her storage unit, which includes a sizable collection of antiques. She want to leave her loved ones in good hands in the case of her death, thus she won’t be using her resources to pay for these travels.
Recall that Shannen disclosed her breast cancer diagnosis for the first time in 2015, although she took therapy and was able to enter remission before that. However, in the previous year, she said that the disease had come back, reaching Stage 4, and had even reached her bones.
In January, Shannen shared that she had received a “miracle” new therapy, demonstrating her optimism despite her health challenges.
