Matthew Rondeau, Shanna Moakler’s prior boyfriend, has been charged on the grounds of domestic violence.

According to reports, Matthew has been handed charges on the basis of misdemeanor domestic violence, vandalism and battery. This relates to an alleged altercation in February of this year, in which it is claimed that Matthew got violent.
This arrest arrived shortly in the aftermath of Matthew ranting on social media in which he stated that he suspected Shanna of cheating on him, something she denied doing. Not only that, but Shanna has made it very clear that she does not want to prosecute.
It is not clear if this is on the basis that she wants to get back together with Matthew, but in any event, Shanna wants to put this ordeal behind her as soon as possible. In her comments to TMZ, she said: “I’m not pressing charges.
“I’m hoping the city attorney respects my wishes and drops everything as well. I will be supporting Matthew 100%. This has disrupted our lives enough.” Much in the same way, Matthew wants to move on from this.
However, he has always said that he did nothing wrong, and this is something that he was intent on proving. But when it came to the court of public opinion, there was an entirely different perception. And this was reflected in the comments that followed on social media.
A certain subset of people demanded that Matthew be held to account, and they had no sympathy with what he was going through. One person wrote: “How dare he try to spin it that he’s the victim!
“Just watching his rage on the video he posted on Shanna’s Instagram was horrifying to watch – imagine it in person.” As long as Shanna and Matthew can work things out, then that is the most important thing, regardless of what others may think about it all.
