‘Sex and the City’ Hunk Jason Lewis NOT On Board For HBO Max Reboot!

Jason Lewis wowed audiences as Smith Jerrod, the Absolut Hunk on HBO’s Sex and the City. However, he recently revealed that he has not been asked to join the list of ex-lovers coming onboard for the HBO Max reboot.

Lewis’s character was the much younger love interest of Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall). The handsome waiter turned model turned actor even managed to tame Samantha’s wild side, yet the two parted ways at the end of the first Sex and the City movie. Lewis did make a cameo in the second movie, proving that his character and his ex were still on friendly terms.

Without Cattrall joining the reboot, meaning Samantha will not be joining Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) in the 10 episode series titled “And Just Like That…”, there probably wouldn’t be much of a storyline for Smith Jerrod.

While Lewis admitted to being flattered at fans’ intrigue as to whether he would make another Smith appearance, he said he has not received the call and reminded viewers “the conversation is about the girls.”

Yes, we all love the girls, but we love their men, too.

It has been confirmed that David Eigenberg, who portrayed Miranda’s husband, Steve Brady has signed back up, as has John Corbett, the portrayer of Steve’s business partner and Carrie’s ex-fiance, Aiden Shaw.

Chris Noth has played coy about returning as Carrie’s husband Mr. Big. Though outlets had written that Noth was not interested in returning, he rebuffed the news on his Instagram warning fans to not believe everything they read in “the rags”.

So, even if Lewis isn’t returing, he must have thoughts about where his character might be, 11 years since we saw him in the second movie spin-off.

He does not imagine he and Samantha would have reunited. “I think that they moved away from each other,” he says.

But Smith must be living a glamourous life as a successful Hollywood Hunk actor, right?

“I think he went into production,” Lewis suggested. “He was a lifter of others, so he would have moved past [acting]. But I think he would still be in the industry.”

Interesting. Wherever Smith is now, we’ll always have him living rent free as the Absolut Hunk in our minds.
