Seth Rogen has recalled the moment in which he was rejected on his birthday.
Seth Rogen Recalls Crying Into His ‘Truffle Mac And Cheese’ After Being Rejected In His Twenties
With Valentine’s Day having just passed, Seth felt it was appropriate to bring up a memory from his dating life. But rather than it being a moment of happiness, it turned out to be anything but that.
During the course of his comments, the comedian revealed that he had been interested in a woman, who was a few years older than him while he was 20.
So when he decided to make the next move, it was important that he got things right. Unfortunately, for him however, it backfired.
In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Seth said: “It was my birthday coming up, and so I asked her … “Let’s go out to dinner on my birthday!’ and I was like, ‘I’m going to ask her to be my girlfriend at this dinner on my birthday!’
“She said, ‘No.’ And then I started crying!” In reality, Seth will not mind too much over how it played out. After all, he has gone on to become one of the most successful comedians/actors within the industry.
Although he did not go on to name the women, the very fact of the matter is that this demonstrates she hardly set the world alight. Nevertheless, that does not mean that Seth had a particularly good time, as he went on to outline.
He added: “Then I was like … ‘We need to eat. Like, we can’t leave.’ And she was like, ‘It’s your birthday. And there was a cake coming.
“And s— so it’s like, I had to sit there and this poor woman had to sit there with me as I wept into my truffle mac and cheese.”
Fast forward now, Seth has been happily married to his wife Lauren Miller since 2011. And their relationship continues to go from strength to strength with no sign of it slowing down.
It is safe to say that Seth has put his bad dating days behind him. It is great to see him in a much better place and long may that continue.
