The duo decided to split up earlier this month which was inevitable given the run-up to the events that transpired just earlier. Scott had been exposed for mocking his ex Kourtney Kardashian’s relationship with her boyfriend, Travis Barker, through some leaked DM’s.
While Amelia did try to stand by him, it looked as though it was all a bit too much. Amelia, though, has still been left reeling. In an interview with US Weekly, Serena said: “We talked about Scott, yeah. It’s fresh. It’s hard. I was like, ‘You’re super young and super hot and have the whole world at your fingertips, like, you’re fine.’ She was like, You’re right.”
Another reason why the relationship broke down was because of Scott’s failure to win over Amelia’s family, in particular, her mother, Lisa Rinna. The latter had always expressed concerns due to the fact that there was a massive age gap between the pair.
Not only that, but Scott was also a father too. And yet, Serena and Amelia spoke about Lisa in a positive light. She added: “We were just talking about our upbringing and how her mom was always super supportive of her being a model [and] in the spotlight. My parents, on the other hand, were like, ‘Stay in school.’ And was like, ‘Why?” Despite Scott’s mistakes and her family’s disapproval, it was Amelia who took charge.
She began to realise that there was simply too much baggage involved in their relationship. And as she has so many things in the pipeline given her career and age, she knew she had to end things.
Sources confirmed as much: “Amelia was the one who ended things. [The breakup was coming regardless.” Let us hope that Amelia can overcome this heartbreak.
She clearly invested a lot in the relationship, even though people did disapprove. And the fans will be there to support her every step of the way to make sure that she gets back to her usual happy self.
