‘Selling Sunset’ star Emma Hernan has opened up on how she nearly ended up hooking up with Ben Affleck.
Selling Sunset: Emma Hernan Reveals That Ben Affleck Messaged Her On Celebrity Dating App Raya-‘Could’ve Foiled Bennifer’
Ben, for his part, is now happily with Jennifer Lopez. Their recent engagement was testament to that fact. While that may have been the case, it seems that Emma did have a shot at one point.
It is claimed that she had received a dm from Ben on the celebrity dating app, Raya, which was all recalled during her conversation with co-star Chrishell Stause. In an episode of the show, Emma said: “He may or may not have been texting me,” to which Chrishell responded: “You could’ve foiled Bennifer. He was on the hunt.”
On reflection, the chances of this happening were possible for the following reasons. First of all, both Ben and Emma are from Boston. Therefore, there would have been plenty for the duo to get their teeth stuck into.
This is particularly true since it was alleged that Ben’s message to Emma included a reference to them having the connection of Boston. Secondly, in any event, both Ben and Emma were looking to settle down at that point after their respective heartbreaks.
And by the looks of it, Emma was touched indeed. She added: “It was very sweet.” The fans on social media were not convinced by Ben’s intentions. People were of the view that he was simply looking to find someone to fill the void in his life at that time.
And had he gotten with Emma, things would have ended badly since Ben only had eyes for Jennifer once he realised a reconciliation was possible. One person wrote: “She would have been playing 2nd fiddle. Ben has always loved JLO.”
Given how everything has panned out now, it is fair to say that Ben and Jennifer are better suited. With that being said, hopefully Emma can find someone to settle down with in the future.
