Selena Gomez has requested her supporters to refrain from sending Hailey Bieber violent messages after the model contacted the singer regarding the online hostility between them.
Selena Gomez Reacts After Hailey Bieber Gets Death Threats-‘Stop’
According to a statement posted on Instagram by Gomez, there have been death threats directed towards Bieber due to the intensification of their long-rumored feud.
The reason for the disagreement between the two parties is related to Justin Bieber. Justin and Gomez were romantically involved in the early 2010s and continued their on-and-off relationship for several years.
In 2014, Justin was seen with Hailey, which led to speculations about their romantic involvement. During the following years, Justin appeared to be indecisive about his romantic relationships with both Gomez and Hailey.
However, he eventually ended his relationship with Gomez permanently and tied the knot with Hailey in 2018. But this is something that has not been forgotten, with Hailey coming out of it in a negative manner.
In her comments, Selena said: “Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity.
“This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.”
Earlier this month, there was a resurgence of tension when Bieber and her friend Kylie Jenner were alleged to have mocked Gomez after she posted a TikTok video where she failed to apply her eyebrow makeup correctly.
Jenner subsequently posted some pictures flaunting her and Bieber’s eyebrows, which some people viewed as impolite. It caused a stir among fans and followers.
In response to that controversy, Gomez wrote: “Please, please be kinder and consider others mental health. My heart has been heavy and I only want good for everyone.”
The response on social media, however, was far from sympathetic. This was on the grounds that Hailey’s prior conduct was coming back to haunt her. Therefore, she had no one to blame but herself since she could have avoided this.
One person wrote: “Well, well, well – isn’t this a caution – you bullied Selena, now you need her to get the heat off of you – and being the kind young lady that she ism she is helping – which is better that what is deserved.”
