This was a long time coming, especially since Sean had expressed regret over how he had treated her throughout his marriage. They had only been married for one year after walking down the aisle in 2020.
But it soon became clear that the actor began to prioritize other things within his life, as opposed to looking after Leila. He admittedly stated how politics and his drinking issues took precedent. So much so that Sean did not hold back on his own culpability.
In a statement at the time, he said: “There’s a woman who I’m so in love with, Leila George, who I only see on a day-to-day basis now, because I f–ked up the marriage…I was a very neglectful guy.”
This is unfortunately the same old story for Sean. He has now had a total of 3 failed marriages after committing himself to Madonna and Robin Wright. With that being said, the Hollywood star clearly has to look at himself as now it is clear that he is perhaps the problem.
And given that he is not getting any younger, Sean will have to rectify his wrongs if he wants to settle down. As of now, nothing seems to be changing in that regard. Sean continues to be vocal about political issues and none more so than the Russia-Ukraine War.
It was during the earlier parts of the conflict that the actor was present within Ukraine, as he was pictured with the country’s President Volodymyr Zelensky as part of his documentary into the current crisis.
The fans on social media were not surprised. A certain subset of people were of the view that Sean was a walking problem and that his world view was ultimately going to impact any relationship that he had. One person wrote: “He has a bad nasty attitude, he sees the world full of problems hehehehehehehehehe.”
