Sean Paul has denied the rumours that he hooked up with Beyonce.
Sean Paul Denies Hooking Up With Beyonce-‘Nah! I Wish I did!’
Beyonce, for her part, is now married to Jay Z even if the pair have had their share of marital problems. But at one point, Sean and Beyonce were very close. Once it became clear that Beyonce was going to have a solo career, following the break up of Destiny’s Child, the rapper jumped on the chance to work with her.
As a result, they ended up collaborating on the hit song ‘Baby Boy,’ in 2003. And by the looks of it, Sean was happy with the final track. In an interview with The Daily Beast, he said: “I was like ‘Hell f—ing yeah.’ I thought it was going to be R&B, but it ended up being dancehall, so that made me go off.
“That was a bangin’ track.” Given how well they worked together, speculation started to emerge that they may have been romantically involved. This was particularly since the music video for the track was very sexual indeed.
Although there was speculation, Sean let everyone know that nothing had happened between the pair. And yet, this did not prevent him from thinking what could have happened. And it seems that he wished things had turned out to be different. He added: “Nah! I wish I did! She’s beautiful.”
The fans on social media agreed with Sean’s comments. People were of the view that nothing happened between the pair since Beyonce was with Jay Z. Not only that, but the fact they stopped making music together after that song suggested that Beyonce was not interested in pursuing things anyway.
One person wrote: “Why are they still asking him this if him and Beyonce both have said multiple times that those rumors were false ?It’s getting weird.”
