Samantha Markle has revealed that Thomas Markle has decided to not watch the documentary series about his daughter, Meghan Markle, and her spouse Prince Harry, titled “Harry & Meghan.”
Samantha Markle Reveals Thomas Markle Won’t Be Watching Meghan And Harry’s Docuseries As Latter Confirms ‘She Has No Father’
On Saturday, 10th December 2022, Meghan’s half-sibling informed TMZ that her dad is more concentrated on his well being and she is shielding him from watching the Netflix series.
Not only that, but she also informed the outlet that she doesn’t believe Thomas would be interested in viewing the series as the royal family drama has been taxing on his wellbeing since he suffered a stroke in the beginning of the year.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex candidly discussed their strained relationship with Thomas, aged 78, and Samantha. Meghan made it absolutely clear that she had not been on good relations with Samantha, despite claims that things were fine before she entered into the firm.
In the docuseries, Meghan remarked the following: “My half-sister, who I hadn’t seen for over a decade — and that was only for a day and a half — suddenly, it felt like she was everywhere. I don’t know your middle name. I don’t know your birthday.”
As the date of her marriage to Harry drew closer, Meghan’s bond with her father began to deteriorate. Meghan alleged that the royal family’s communication team had asked her to contact Thomas to determine if he was working with the press, and if he was being paid to organize pictures.
While Thomas denied doing anything of the sort, Meghan was not convinced. The last time Meghan had a conversation with her father was through text messages while he was recuperating from a heart operation prior to her and Harry’s wedding. And that is something that Harry recognised was tough to deal with.
His following comments confirmed as much: “Of course, it’s incredibly sad what happened. She had a father before this and now she doesn’t have a father.”
