Samantha Markle, the half-sister of Meghan Markle, insists that Prince Harry should provide evidence while being sworn in against his wife.
Samantha Markle Orders Harry To Give Evidence Against Meghan Over Alleged Oprah Interview Lies
On Friday, 3rd February 2023, documents were filed in Florida to indicate that Samantha had asked the Duke of Sussex to be part of the process under oath.
Samantha is taking legal action against Meghan, suing for £60,000 in compensation, alleging that her sister’s comments in the 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview caused significant damage to her reputation due to the falsehoods and untruths she spoke.
As per Samantha, Meghan must be interviewed on camera a day before the deposition. She is also asking Meghan to declare in public that the late Queen Elizabeth III and King Charles III had not endorsed any forms of racism.
In order to prevent a court case, someone has been designated to act as a go-between. However, Michael J. Kump, legal representative of Meghan, declared that the requests she has presented are not pertinent. Nevertheless, it is important to bear in mind the following.
Harry has since then denied that he had accused the firm of being racist, despite the fact that he and Meghan stated that someone in the firm had reservations over Archie’s skin colour. Instead, he went on to refer to it as being a case of unconscious bias.
With that being said, the fans on social media had a lot to say about the matter. A certain subset of people made it clear that Samantha’s actions were not helping the cause, with people questioning her motives for doing this.
One person wrote: “It’s very unfortunate how Meghan’s sister has completely turned her back on her, mostly for money. Goes to show who Samantha really is.” The sooner this is resolved, then the better it will be for everyone moving forward. Time will tell how this will all play out.
