Alec Baldwin has made an emotional statement in which he fondly spoke about the late cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Alec had tragically killed her after having fired a gun without being aware that it was loaded on the set of ‘Rust.’ This prop gun incident has left Halyna’s family in mourning.
Nothing can bring Halyna back, but it has not stopped Alec from making sure that people knew how much she cared for her. In the following video here, we can see that Alec is annoyed by the presence of the press.
And yet, he held it together to share some warm words about Halyna. He said: “She was my friend. The day I arrived in Santa Fe to start shooting, I took her to dinner with Joel [Souza], the director.
“We were a very, very well-oiled crew.” Despite those words, it was clear that Alec did not want to speak about the incident. This was clear for the following reasons.
First of all, he admitted that he was not legally allowed to say anything. After all, he could end up jeopardising the investigation or even inadvertently incriminating himself. Secondly, he felt that it was more important to focus on Halyna’s family, who have been left to deal with the pain.
He added: “We are in constant contact with him [Halyna’s husband] because we’re very worried about his family and his kid.”
Alec, for his part, did have his wife Hilaria Baldwin to count on. But it seems that this tragedy has put a strain on their relationship. In the same video, we can see Alec getting annoyed at what looks like Hilaria’s attempts to monitor what her husband was saying.
In addition, she is heard getting angry at the media, who had failed to remember the victim’s name. In response, she stated: “Her name is Halyna.”
And as a way to protect themselves, the couple can be seen videoing the whole interaction. After all, there is always the possibility that Alec could end up getting into some trouble over this.
This is clearly a difficult time for Alec and the family of the deceased. As soon as the investigation is concluded, then the better it is for everyone involved.
