British Royal News finds that Prince Harry was back to work on Thursday afternoon as he was back at Buckingham Palace to draw the teams for the upcoming Rugby League World Cup. This was the first time that the Duke of Sussex had been seen in public since shocking the world with a statement last week, which stated that he and Meghan would be stepping back from royal duties.

Harry seemed to be in good spirits throughout the draw and was seen smiling in front of the world’s media. The draw certainly gained more attention after recent events. However, with things still up in the air surrounding their long-term future, there was more attention on the Prince than the draw itself.

British Royal News: Prince Harry Returns To Royal Duties

Ahead of making the draw, Prince Harry was in attendance to watch as there were a variety of different tournaments on the grounds of the palace. There were school children playing when a reporter hastily shouted a question regarding the Duke’s future, to which he just smiled and walked away.

While Harry was drawing the teams for the men’s, women’s and wheelchair rugby World Cup, his wife was back in Canada. She has been busy visiting various organizations in British Columbia. She has appeared to look happy since returning to Canada and posed for pictures which later appeared on social media channels.

British Royal News: Last Public Appearance

It is believed that this could have been Harry’s last appearance on British soil for the foreseeable future as he is expected to move over to North America before the weekend. He is scheduled to fly to Canada on Friday, where he will meet up with his son and Meghan.

It is still unclear what the future holds for the couple, but Harry will be keen to remain in his position with the Rugby Football League. He has held that position since taking over from the Queen, but due to his resignation from the royal family, he may be forced to vacate the role.
