British Royal Family News find that royal fans from both sides of the pond are reacting to the news that Meghan Markle miscarried her child back in July.
The Duchess of Sussex, who is married to Prince Harry and shares an 18-month old son named Archie with the royal, detailed her miscarriage experience in an opinion article for the New York Times on Wednesday. She says that she sensed that something was not right on the morning that she miscarried while she was taking care of her son.
In her piece, Meghan went on to say that hours later she found herself in the hospital, where she kissed Prince Harry’s knuckles, which were “wet from both of our tears.” The Duchess of Sussex says that she is sharing her story to help break the silence and taboo from what she says is an all-too-common tragedy.

Of course, it didn’t take very long for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s fans and critics to comment on the news. While there were a lot of fans who sympathized with the royal couple over their heartbreaking news, there were plenty of critics who pointed out the hypocrisy of Meghan sharing the news about her miscarriage when earlier in the year the couple said that they wanted to live a life that was more private.
Some comments included, “Making a public announcement that’s transparently designed to change the tide of opinion against them, by publishing details of what should have been kept private, seems in very poor taste,” along with, “Why share such a private matter with the world, when you wanted privacy?! And this is not about raising awareness, there is plenty out there. This is to be shared with family and friends, if desired.”
Another critic wrote, “It is awful to hear of anyone share the heartbreak of a miscarriage but for two people who claimed they quit royal life because they wanted privacy are being pretty hypocritical as this is a lot to share.”
So far Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not made any additional comments.
