The rapper has certainly divided the public with his reaction to his ex Kim Kardashian moving on with Pete Davidson.
This had been seen through the numerous social media outbursts he had exhibited, which included claims that Pete had been dating Hillary Clinton.
And given that the rapper has been accused of bordering on desperation, the last thing that fans expected to hear was Bethenny praising Kanye.
In a post to her fans on Twitter, she said: “Say what you will about @kanyewest personal choices, but when it comes to marketing & music,he is a genius…”
Even if this was the case, Bethenny’s comments did not go down well for the following reasons. First of all, Kanye could be accused of using his children as a marketing tool in order to gain publicity for his upcoming ‘Donda 2’ album.
Not only that, but given that he has a documentary on Netflix by the name of ‘Jeen-Yuhs,’ his recent antics have been viewed as distasteful.
One fan wrote: “Puzzling choice of words after he publicly did things to her that you too had to experience (from someone else).
“I Remain a fan and sympathetic to you, but an odd thing to choose to tweet about. Giving Kanye any ounce of positive praise right now is terribly uncouth.”
In Bethenny’s defence, however, she has called out the rapper. She spoke extensively on the fact that Kanye should be keeping away from social media on the basis that his comments could be used against him when it came to co-parenting arrangements.
In addition, she also expanded on how this could work against him when it came to settling other matters in his divorce with Kim. In a statement at the time, she remarked: “My advice to Kanye would be: You have to stay the course.
“You cannot go rogue and take matters into your own hands when it comes to the divorce and custody process. It will only hurt you.” It is safe to say that public opinion is not on the side of Kanye.
