Melissa Gorga, the star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, has confirmed that she can no longer continue to defend Teresa Giudice should any disputes arise in the future.

When speaking on the Getting Real with the Housewives podcast, she said: “I’m going to be very honest right now. You’re damned if you do, you’re damned if you don’t and I’m going to don’t from now on. I am done. It’s like when I’m doing the right thing, and you will see, I’m literally sticking up for her, we did it wrong. So, guess what? To each their own. I’m done sticking up for anyone.”
She continued by saying how she plans to distance herself further: “I am going to just sit back here mind my own business and not stick up anymore for her because it was like, ‘I can’t win. I literally sometimes just feel like I can’t win and guess what? I’m finally OK with that. I’m just going to say nothing anymore, and you’re on your own.”
However, Melissa also has problems to deal with, which are closer to home. And none more so than her marriage to Joe Gorga. She told Us Weekly how the duo are fighting to keep their marriage on track: “It’s not easy. We’re struggling. I’m not sitting here telling you that, like, I’m moving out of my house today, but we were struggling, and we show it. We’re fighting out of it.”
And yet, this drama should come as no surprise. After all, fellow co-star Dolores Catania revealed that fans could expect huge fireworks on the show. She previously told Us Weekly: “This is a fight that’s going to go down in history. And that’s not the only thing in this season. I’ve never been so excited in five years, about a premiere or a season. We showed up, like, we got more than we bargained for, more than we expected.”She added: “The season almost killed all of us, but the world needs this entertainment right now. I’m telling you the producers at one point were, like, shooken [SIC] up.” It looks like this season is certainly one to watch.
