Viewers are none too pleased with the fact that the producers of RHONJ made it appear as though Melissa Gorga was cheating on her husband, Joe Gorga, in a teaser trailer for the show. Well, it turns out that the entire plot turned out to be nothing more than a prank. Here’s what you need to know.

‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ Spoilers: Fans Pissed Over Fake Joe Gorga And Melissa Gorga Cheating Storyline
Teresa Giudice is seen on the phone saying, “Last night, the owner of the restaurant asked Melissa for her number,” with the camera panning to Melissa on her phone texting. But in a preview that aired Wednesday night for the upcoming third episode of the season, a voiceover states, “The ladies prank Joe,” and the action cuts toward Teresa saying, “Last night, this guy asked Melissa for her number.”
Of course, it didn’t take long at all for fans to weigh in on the matter. Many of them took to their Twitter accounts to write, “Not Melissa ‘cheating’ being a prank I’m so pissed at these editors,” along with, “#RHONJ season 11 trailer to make it look like there was a ‘Melissa is cheating’ storyline, even though it was all just a joke. #RHONJ.”
Yet, Melissa herself has gone on the record to state that even though she and her husband Joe are happy, their marriage is far from perfect. “He likes things to stay the same. I’ve been with him since I was 24 years old. So I’ve changed and I feel like this is a scary part of marriage,” Melissa explained to Us Weekly.
“Either you’re going to grow together or you’re going to grow apart. And I think we’re fighting really hard to grow together.”
