Sources have denied rumours that Angela Simmons is going to be joining the cast of the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta.’
‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’: Sources Deny Rumours That Angela Simmons Is Joining The Show
Speculation first started emerging that Angela could be set to join the show following a Twitter post in which she was pictured alongside none other than the cast members themselves.
In the post, we can see that Angela is alongside various members of the housewives franchise during Marlo Hampton‘s party.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “Growing up Hip Hop star, Angela Simmons is a supposed friend to the show on the upcoming season.She was also present at Marlo’s Le’Archive event last week!”
In response, the internet went viral at what they believed to be conclusive proof that Angela was going to be joining the show. And yet, sources have confirmed anything but that.
One source remarked: “She moved from New York City to Atlanta, but it’s not because of ‘RHOA’ and she’s still working on her other reality shows — “Growing Up Hip Hop” and “Just Angela.”
Despite the news that Angela will not be joining the show, people started to express the fact that the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ series needed to change in order to boost its ratings.
Although they did not go as far as suggesting that Angela would be the person to do just that, the fact of the matter was that they wanted to see some shaking up of the cast.
One person on Twitter wrote: “All these manufactured friendships will not work. The RHOA ratings will be under the sea,”
While another stated: “To each his own, but I can’t see Angela Simmons as a housewife. I’m also surprised that her and Marlo are friends., just saying.”
With Angela not joining the show, fans have been left with a star studded cast nonetheless. Some of the housewives that have been confirmed include Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Drew Sidora, Sheree Whitfield, Marlo and Sanya Richards-Ross.
