Republican Adam Kinzinger has revealed that he received a death threat after calling for former United States President Donald Trump to be criminally prosecuted.

It is no secret that Adam does not hold the former president in high regard. Adam just so happens to be on the committee that is looking into the Capitol Hill Riots that had occurred on Wednesday, 6th January 2021.
And it was Trump’s conduct prior to the riots that did not impress Adam. The Congressman spoke on how he felt Trump had taken advantage of the situation by stating he was the victim of election rigging when US President Joe Biden had been declared the winner.
So much so that Adam suspected Trump’s conduct had risen to a criminal level. In his comments at the time, he remarked: “I certainly think the president is guilty of knowing what he did.
“I think what we’re presenting before the American people certainly would rise to a level of criminal involvement by a president.” Those comments did not go down very well with a certain section of Trump supporters. And they did not hold back on what they thought about Adam.
In response, Kinzinger posted a letter that he had received on his social media, which was characterised by death threats. The contents of the letter included the following words: “You are one stupid c***. That pimp you married not only broke his oath, he sold his soul.
“Yours, and Christian’s too! Adam’s activities have not only hurt this country, but countless patriotic and God-fearing families. Therefore, although it might take time, he will be executed.”
The response on social media was one of horror. Regardless of what you may think about Adam, people were of the view that this had crossed the line. One person wrote: “It’s just shocking that there are people who think that this is okay to do, say and think.”
