    Renowned reptile enthusiast Brian Barczyk has sadly left us after spending 10 days under hospice care, bravely facing pancreatic cancer.

    The news, shared on Monday, prompted a heartfelt tribute from the Reptarium Reptile Zoo, where Brian was hailed as an “exceptional” visionary, mentor, and friend. In an emotional Instagram statement, they commended his ability to captivate hearts and minds globally with his unwavering passion for reptiles and wildlife.

    They wrote, “For those of us who had the privilege of working alongside him, Brian’s absence leaves an immeasurable void. As we navigate this difficult time, we find comfort in the memories and the lasting light of Brian’s work. He will be deeply missed but indeed, never forgotten.”

    Brian, who received a devastating stage four pancreatic cancer diagnosis nearly a year ago. He had foreseen the inevitable, sharing a poignant goodbye video just days before his passing.

    Brian’s career was deeply intertwined with his love for reptiles, having starred in the Discovery Channel’s “Venom Hunters”. He also launched a successful YouTube journey in 2016, amassing 5.26 million subscribers. Collaborating with influential figures like Logan and Jake Paul, he made a significant impact.

    Beyond his Reptarium Reptile Zoo, Brian was the founder of Legasea Aquarium. He held the distinction of owning the world’s third-largest collection of snakes—over 30,000—actively engaging in venom milking. His legacy in the realm of reptiles will be remembered by enthusiasts worldwide.

    Heartbreakingly, in a goodbye video, Barczyk said, “I’m ready, guys. It was a tough year. It was so painful, the pain was incredible, the sickness was incredible, the treatment was incredible, everything about it was so bad”
