On the reunion of The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City, Heather Gay let it be known that her fellow cast member Jen Shah had asked her fellow housewives for assistance in financing her legal defense amid her fraud charges.

Jen, 49, was absent from the event since she had already pleaded guilty to wire fraud. This is despite the fact that she had initially denied doing anything of the sort by maintaining her innocence before going to change her plea to guilty.

With that being said, it appears that Heather is now not as close to Jen as she may have been before. In her comments, she said: “I mean, it depends on where she goes [if i visit her]. I did not give them money, but I know people on this couch did.”

That was not the only thing on Heather’s mind, though. There were also question marks over whether Jen’s husband, Omar, had any knowledge that she was engaging in illicit activities. Heather was not able to give a definite answer on that. However, she did suggest that Jen changed her plea to guilty since it could have otherwise been very costly for her.

Heather’s following comments confirmed as much: “She said the cost of the trial was astronomical.  Just to get the transcripts was $2,000 a day and that the cost was over-whelming, and they solicited friends for money.”

The response on social media was damning. A large proportion of people had no sympathy for Jen, as they felt she had to be held liable for her actions, just as she showed no remorse for those she had defrauded.

One person wrote: “No sympathy for Jen Shah. She’s getting what she deserves. Give money to people that actually need it. She’s only sorry she got caught.”
