Briana Culberson, who happens to be Vicki Gunvalson’s daughter, has confirmed that the former Real Housewives of Orange County star has struggled to adapt to life following her exit from the show.

Vicki, for her part, had been a mainstay on the series for around 14 years before she called time on it last year. While it hoped to be the start of a new chapter, things have not been as easy as you may have thought. In an interview on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Briana confirmed how challenging it has been for Vicki to move on.
She said: “I think she’s still adjusting. I don’t think it’s what she really wants for her life. I think she misses it, and she misses the whole process and everybody.” And yet, this is counter to how Vicki was feeling towards the tail end of her time on the series. Fans began to notice that Vicki had been getting more vocal in her discontent towards the other housewives. Not only that, Vicki was adamant that she would be focusing on other ventures.
In a post to her fans on Instagram at the time, Vicki outlined her intention to never come back. She stated: “It’s time to say goodbye…I’ve been working on new projects that will be exciting, empowering and inspirational.” So what are the projects in question? Vicki has teamed up with another former housewife Tamra Judge. The duo have set up a podcast entitled,’ Reality With Vicki.’
While they were looking to distance themselves from the show, in all honesty, it has become a space to discuss the major talking points from the series. And yet, who could blame them. It was a big part of their lives. In a prior interview on Us Weekly, Vicki stated how she wants to collaborate with further housewives.
She stated: “I definitely will [have some Housewives on my podcast]. That was a big part of my life. It’s [been] over 15 years.” It will be interesting to see if Vicki ever makes a return to the show. After all, the door is always going to be open for an OG of the franchise.
