The stars of Real Housewives of New York City came to a battle royale after a dispute broke out over the topic of sex. After having a frank discussion, Eboni and Luann disagreed about how people should approach this topic after the term WAP (Wet Ass Pussy) was used.

That is where Luann stated that such words could offend people with conservative values, while Eboni responded with: “I understand what you’re saying, but I don’t agree…I don’t subscribe to the fact that to use those words means you’re unclassy or not a lady.”

This all came to a head when Eboni’s response had been construed as her being more educated than Luan, to which the latter had reportedly referred to Eboni as an ‘angry black woman.’ During an interview on the Getting Real with the Housewives podcast, Eboni opened up on how their relationship has been damaged severely.

She said: “It did affect, I think very much so my relationship with Luann…because I think after this blow up that we have, I think there was a question mark on both ends around trust.” While they have managed to repair their relationship somewhat, or at least in the short term, Eboni believes that a class of cultural and generational values led to the feud.

Eboni, for her part, is the first African-American woman to appear on the show. And her values have already been present with other cast members. Take, for example, Ramona Singer. Ramona and Eboni got into a confrontation after Eboni felt offended that the former did not respect her staff. This was because of Ramona’s failure to refer to them by their names.

And it all pointed to a clash of values. She added: “I think, frankly, some of this is generational. I think we [and Leah Mcsweeney] just have to be honest about that. These women were coming into their womanhood in a very different society as it relates to the liberation of women.”
