Caroline Manzo has rejected claims that the Real of Housewives of New Jersey is not all that authentic.

The show has come under fire over how Teresa Giudice’s feud with Jackie Goldschneider has been blown out of proportion. The reasoning being that fans do not believe that a huge fall out would emerge simply after a single allegation of infidelity. In an interview with Us Weekly, Caroline did acknowledge that producers do try to encourage drama.
She said: “It’s never scripted, but they try to push you. ‘Hey, by the way, did you hear this?’ and if you’re dumb enough to believe it, you’re going to give them what they want.” Given that the stars are contractually bound, there is an argument that they must do what they are told. And yet, Caroline states nothing could be further from the truth.
It is merely a question of how far each person is willing to cross the line. She added: “It’s like playing in the schoolyard, and you see the bully grabbing the quarter out of the kid’s pocket. It’s [up to] you to decide whether or not you’re going to help the bully or the kid.” With that in mind, it seems the dispute between Teresa and Jackie is genuine.
And yet, Jackie’s conduct in referring to Teresa’s daughter, Gia, as ‘someone who does coke in a bathroom’ seems like a publicity stunt. After all, Gia had nothing to do with any of the accusations. But for clout, people are willing to say anything. She continued: “What comes out of our mouths, comes out of mouths. We’re adults. Nobody makes you say anything. We have minds of our own. Never blame producers for anything.”
And she signed off the interview by encouraging the housewives to stand their ground. No one is going to magically make Teresa and Jackie’s arguments disappear. She noted: “You also have the option to say no. Plenty of times producers said ‘A’ to me, and I said, ‘B. Stand up for yourself and stand up for your values and what’s right and what’s wrong.”
