Giudice’s proclamation of her New Year’s resolution took place against the backdrop of her ongoing disagreement with her brother, Joe Gorga, and his other half, Melissa Gorga. The tensions started after the Gorgas chose not to attend Giudice’s marriage to Luis Ruelas.
And given that it was the biggest day of Teresa’s life, it was very hard for her to take, which is why she wants a fresh start. In her comments, Teresa said: “[I want to stay away from] toxicity, definitely toxicity. You can manifest what you want in 2023. We’ve done that before.”
Much in the same way, Ruelas, who is 47 years old, demonstrated his backing for his wife’s goal, revealing that they plan to do a ritual burning away from their friends. With that being said, there was no festive season wonder that brought Giudice and Ruelas back together with the Gorgas, as they did not spend the holidays together.
And that is why Luis acknowledged that something had to change, as things could not go in the same way. His following comments confirmed as much: “We’re going to go to a place where there’s a little fire, and everyone’s going to have pieces of paper, We’re going to write down some things we want to let go of in 2022.
“Burn it and let it go, walk away holding hands, don’t look back. It kind of cleans out your mental storage, cleans out what’s of the forefront of your mind, really.”
The fans on social media were not too sympathetic towards Teresa. This was on the grounds that she was equally responsible for creating toxicity on the show. One person wrote: “She is the source of the toxicity.”
