Erika Jayne discussed the chance of bringing Chrissy Teigen onto The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a replacement for her good friend Lisa Rinna.

After completing eight series, Rinna, aged 59, recently left the programme. During the last series, she endured a tough time, having to confront her colleague Kathy Hilton and dealing with the loss of her mum.
It was reported that Rinna’s decision to leave was agreed upon by both her and Bravo. Since announcing her departure, Rinna has kept herself occupied by attending a number of London Fashion Week events and awards ceremonies.
With that being said, On Sunday, 26th February 2023, Erika was interviewed by TMZ about Kyle Richards’ selection of Chrissy Teigen joining the cast. This is what Jayne had to say: “Chrissy is fun; she’s a big fan of the show.
“She should have fun. No. Chrissy doesn’t need this show. It would be amazing; yeah, she’s cool. Actually, I like Chrissy. I don’t do casting.” Aside from that, Erika was of course feeling a little disappointed that Rinna was no longer on the show.
However, she recognized that life does go on which is why they continue to remain in touch. And this was also something that was difficult for Rinna since it was the longest thing that she had been connected to in her life.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “This is the longest job I have held in my 35-year career, and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series.”
The fans on social media were against the idea of Chrissy joining. This was on the basis that her prior track record, as shown through her cyberbullying scandal, had damaged her reputation. One person wrote: “No. Absolutely not. Can’t stand her.”
