Dorit Kemsley, the star of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” joked about her recent burglary at her home.

The break in occurred just last year, which demonstrates how far Dorit has come now that she can look back at such a traumatic event in jest. During the course of the burglary, she happened to be without her husband PK Kemsley who was out of town.
Therefore, she had to go through the experience with her kids who were also in the house. And given that she had previously admitted begging for her life, the fact that she has now had a different approach on the incident has shown she has healed somewhat.
In an episode of the show, Dorit joked about how she had not tested positive for Covid-19 with a reference to a gun joke. She said: “Luckily, I’ve managed to dodge the bullet.”
Nevertheless, this joke did not go down very well for the following reasons. First of all, Kyle Richards had previously stated that Dorit was suffering from post-traumatic-stress disorder.
Therefore, by taking such an incident that had occurred in jest, this did not sit well especially since there were others who may have experienced a similar thing. Secondly, it does call into question how serious Dorit had been impacted by the incident. And this was reflected in the comments that followed on social media.
One person wrote: “Dorit how could you say ‘dodge the bullet’ knowing what we know that Kyle [Richards] knows that Sutton [Stracke] allegedly knows that you’ve gone through?!” while another person stated: “Dorit who is allegedly suffering from PTSD after allegedly being held at gunpoint.”
Regardless of how Doirt chooses to view that experience, as long as she is in a better place, then who are we to question otherwise. And that is the most important thing to remember going forward.
